Hover STAR Network is an independent organization created to serve the safety-related needs of the hovercraft community. Our objective is to collect and disseminate safety-related information, recommendations, and guidance to hovercraft owners, operators, training facilities, manufacturers and insurers. The primary means of collecting safety data is through our Confidential Incident/Accident Reporting System. The system allows hovercraft operators to report incidents, accidents, and other safety-related problems encountered in the operation of hovercraft. The data will be used to develop articles and reports designed to serve the hovercraft commuity as a whole.

 
The Hover STAR Network has three primary goals:

   - Promote hovercraft safety through education.

   - Improve the quality and availability of training for hovercraft operators. 

   - Improve the availability and reduce the cost of insuring hovercraft.
